Shavakiyah

Shavakiyah is a household name in the Holy Land. Having won the title as one of Israel's Jazz Singers of the Year in 1986, she has truly earned her place amongst Israel’s stars as a vocalist and performer extraordinaire.

Recently featured in the newspaper Kol Ha Negev in the article “Divas From Dimona”, Shavakiyah has graced many a stage and television program with the crème of the crop in Israel. Whether with her own band comprised of the top Israeli musicians or seasoned Royal Kingdom Productions artists, her energetic and riveting performances have established Shavakiyah as one of the most sought-after jewels from the “Motown of the Negev” and gives true meaning to “Soul in the Desert”.

Shavakiyah has toured Israel and Europe, including many trips to Greece, Turkey and Russia where she has set the town ablaze with her fiery renditions of house tunes in Moscow’s top night spots and venues. She established a following in one of Israel’s renowned night spots - The Camelot - drawing crowd after crowd as a songwriter, soloist and left-handed guitarist. Her work with Israeli children has made her an icon in the Israeli school system, lecturing and teaching students of all ages for the last 20 years. In addition, she serves as a primary booking agent for other solo artists and groups in her community. Currently working on an upcoming release, featuring her electrifying vocal delivery against house rhythms, Shavakiyah is nothing short of magnificent.
