Amiel

Amiel, CEO for Positive Music Works (PMW, in his multi-faceted capacity as a Spiritual Leader, Musician, and Life Management Instructor, has touched the lives of thousands of people. He firmly believes in God, intellectual equity, pursuit of moral excellence, family strengths and a progressive attitude that will benefit the communities.

A singer, songwriter, and producer with over twenty years experience in the music business, Amiel, has carefully developed his musical concept over the course of the last ten years. In establishing PMW he reaches out to an interesting cross-section of artists including R&B singers, jazz instrumentalists, and rappers. His Conscious Concerts series looks forward to bringing together an eclectic audience of young, old, male, female, rich, poor, black and white. Can such a concept actually grab the public's attention? His young label is being carefully watched by industry insiders. "This is not a gimmick," explained Amiel. "We are part of a growing segment of artists, especially black artists, who are creating an alternative to today's R&B and Hip-Hop."

Based in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia, PMW is in the process of distributing its latest release Amiel's Push On.

In 1974, Amiel signed with Mercury Records and had a hit song in England entitled "Thanks to You". He toured with such acts as Sly and The Family Stone, Frankie Beverly and Maze, The Spinners, The Chi-Lites, Rufas and Chaka Khan, and New Birth. He has opened up concerts for Third World, Najee, Alex Bugnon, Steel Pulse, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, and he is formerly of The Manhattans. He has a roster of 250 musicians, song writers, performers, lyricists and producers under his guidance. He has produced four artists under independent labels. He has promoted concerts with Tramaine Hawkins, Steel Pulse, Maxi Priest, Ziggy Marley and many others. He was also instrumental in the production of two nationally distributed gospel videos.
